Challenge

Notions Design was given a referral to rebrand a bike shop that was part of another franchise group and looking to become independent. The challenge was to come up with a new trading name and a brand identity that resonated with shop’s current customers and target new markets on the back of the recent e-bike craze.

Notions Design was presented with a number of challenges to complete this task, including a limited colour scheme to work with (based on existing bike shop colours) and the limited availability of client. The business was extremely busy and hands on, so we were tasked with keeping our client focused and on-track to meet agreed timeframes.

 

Outcome

An onsite Brand Discovery session allowed us to comprehensively understand our client’s business including who buys from them and, more to the point, why and what they buy.

Notions Design worked very closely with the Evolution Bikes team to create and register a new business name and to design an identity (colours, style, logo etc) that really resonated with the business and their clientele. The client said the outcome far exceeded their expectations and they were really pleased with the new look and feel of their brand.
