Challenge

Shelf Subsea, a leading provider of end-to-end solutions for subsea and offshore projects, partnered with Notions Design to rebrand its identity. A key challenge was integrating two distinct business logos—Shelf Subsea and Bintang Subsea—into a cohesive and recognizable brand identity. The objective was to merge these identities in a way that accurately reflects their combined expertise in subsea innovation and safety while aligning with their strategic goals.

The competitive nature of the subsea industry added complexity to this task. We embarked on an extensive research and brainstorming phase to deeply understand Shelf Subsea’s and Bintang Subsea’s unique positions in the market. This process required careful consideration of each company’s vision and market presence to create a unified brand identity that resonated with its audience.

Outcome

An initial online mini-brand discovery session was crucial in refining our understanding of Shelf Subsea’s and Bintang Subsea’s strategic objectives. This session provided invaluable insights into their combined vision and key buyer personas, allowing us to tailor the re-branding efforts to their needs.

The successful rebranding seamlessly integrated the two business identities into a single, powerful brand. The new brand identity not only captured the essence of both Shelf Subsea and Bintang Subsea but also stood out in the competitive subsea market. The result is a cohesive and memorable brand that effectively represents their combined expertise and sets the stage for continued growth and leadership in the subsea industry.
